Well, I'm gonna assume that I can succeed at anything I devote my energy towards. And so it came to my mind, what should I devote my time to?
When it comes down to it, when it's not about money, what is it I'm looking for whether it's poker, stocks, or writing that will determine whether I take that route? The answer I came up with is: pleasure.
In poker, it's the pleasure of making the right decisions. There's also the pleasure of winning. There's the pleasure of beating an opponent (what I can black pleasure; because you win, they loose)
In writing, it's the pleasure of composition -- the act of creating realities both physical and psychological that creates an emotion reaction/resonance within a reader. There's also the pleasure of making your readers entertained (what I can white pleasure; you win, they win).
I'm sorta in a dilemma right now...

I think that since I have devoted so much energy into writing, i should stick to writing.
So I choose writing. And since I chose it, i think what I need now is to find out how readers actually think about my finished novel. Up to now, I've been spending months in my own world composing the novel. I think it's time to open it up to the world.
I have several candidates or "alpha readers", such as this fellow on fictionpress, or this one on skype, or parth, or that annie woman, or this old guy who likes war on librarything, or even my sister. In addition to finding an alpha reader, I'll post my novel on critique circle and baen's slush to see how people react to it.
It's finally over. I've finished the novel. Well, sorta... still need a little bit more to go.
